Spotlight: Has won over a variety of trips, including this one, and he arrested a decline when storming home in an amateur riders' race at Bath (11.5f, good to soft) a fortnight ago; that wasn't an entirely satisfactory affair but he could do no more than win by 7l and the 6lb rise could have been worse; a repeat puts him firmly in the picture.

Spotlight: Nothing to shout about in first two starts since returned to the Flat in June but much more like it when close second at Newbury (1m4f, good to firm) last month and backed that up with a solid fourth at Salisbury (1m6f, good to soft) four weeks ago; respected.

Spotlight: Attracted support when winning at Chester (2m, heavy) around this time last year but on a losing run subsequently; on a handy mark now but was beaten 7l at Bath (1m6f, soft) 12 days ago; due to drop 2lb and market interest would boost his claims.

Spotlight: Won at Bath (1m5f, soft) around a year ago but largely kept to AW since and went back-to-back in that sphere (1m6f/2m) across May and June; lesser effort at Kempton three weeks ago but he's not ruled out on this return to turf.

Spotlight: Has won here and beaten a short head in this in 2022; couldn't land a gamble in gruelling conditions when second, but beaten nearly 10l, at Ffos Las (1m2f) 17 days ago; step back up to this trip might help but he's 2lb wrong and others hold greater appeal.

Spotlight: Long absence before running poorly over hurdles in February but much better when far from disgraced in a warm event one month later; came back from another break with a poor Flat run last month but again stepped up, despite nothing going right, when beaten 8l at Chester (12.5f, soft) a fortnight ago; encouraging he's put three runs together and he might surprise a few.

Spotlight: 1m4f heavy-ground maiden winner last spring; hasn't progressed in handicaps and cheekpieces (discarded) failed to reignite the spark at Hamilton in June, after which he left Karl Burke; market support would aid his cause on this stable debut.

Spotlight: Won at Kempton (1m4f, AW) in February but he's not fired in three starts since July and seems out of sorts at present; only of interest with market support.

Spotlight: Unusual profile, having been pulled up in a Tabley point-to-point last May before reappearing with three quick qualifying runs on the Flat (1m-1m4f, good/good to firm) this summer in cheekpieces; worth putting on market watch now up in trip for handicap debut.

Spotlight: Struggled in the spring for Andrew Balding and was sold for 2,000gns in July; tailed off on stable debut over C&D last month; visor goes on but can only be watched.
