Spotlight: Ballinrobe bumper winner has gone close in two similar events when losing by 0.5l both times on good ground; finished in front of Lark In The Mornin here in June when running on well and 4lb better off now; looks the pick of the stable's three runners.
Spotlight: Winner on Flat debut here in 2022 over a mile; best known for winning 2024 Fred Winter at Cheltenham (2m, heavy); poor in runs following that until a close third here back on Flat in June (1m5f, good) when Sorrentino finished in front by a neck; won amateur race at Bellewstown latest (1m4f, good); leading contender who likes it here.
Spotlight: Smart staying hurdler, winning 3m Doncaster Grade 2 mares' event last season and ended campaign with Grade 1 placings at both Aintree and Punchestown; won 1m4f Curragh maiden last Autumn on first Flat run; unfancied and always behind in a Galway festival Listed event earlier this month; may do better with that run under her belt.
Spotlight: Lightly-raced 7yo was sent off at odds on for this race in 2023 but could only manage a 3.25l second; returned from a 228 day break at Navan in May last year to finish a close second on Flat handicap debut; even longer absence to overcome now.
Spotlight: Winner on sole Flat start in a French 1m7f conditions race on very soft ground in 2021; jumping has been his kryptonite in recent chasing starts, including when pulled up in the Galway Plate last time; has been running at about 3m and even ran in the Scottish National, so may be taken off his feet at this trip.
Spotlight: Very lightly raced for his age and took form to a new level when winning valuable handicap hurdle at Haydock in November; Ascot Grade 1 was a bridge too far following that and hasn't been seen since weakening when a faller at Sandown in February; rated 17lb higher over hurdles than Lark In The Mornin but may come on for the run; check the market.
Spotlight: Two-time Flat winner for John and Thady Gosden with a Flat rating of 95 which makes him the highest rated in the field; nonetheless, pulled up on stable debut in Triumph Hurdle and tailed off in Northumberland at Newcastle last time (2m); something to prove now; one of three for trainer.
Spotlight: Last year's winner returns but he is another year older now; his tenth in the Plate at Cheltenham was decent but he was tailed off at Punchestown when last seen and carries top weight.
Spotlight: Progressive last year, culminating in a handicap hurdle success at the Cheltenham November meeting (2m5f, good); questions to answer following some very poor runs since then, including when tailed off when last seen at Punchestown festival; perhaps the break has done him good and got his Cheltenham success after a break.
Spotlight: In good form over hurdles earlier in the year, winning at Down Royal in January before an honourable fifth in a valuable Leopardstown handicap in February; bagged third hurdling win when taking a Punchestown festival auction race (2m3f, yielding); would need career best.
Spotlight: Gained third win over timber in a Listed hurdle against her own sex at Killarney in May (2m1f, yielding); struggled in a Tipperary Grade 3 hurdle following that before a decent showing in a valuable Galway festival handicap hurdle last time (2m6f, good); trip versatile but a fair bit to find.
Spotlight: Hurdles rating of 113 leaves him with a lot to find in this company; tailed off in a Thurles conditions hurdle in March and not much better in two most recent handicap chase starts; exceedingly unlikely.
Spotlight: Sole win came on AW in 2018 but has some placed form at stakes level which also came the year of his win; didn't show much to recommend him in five runs for Cathy O'Leary and makes return for new stable after more than a year off; trainer also runs Hamsiyann.
Spotlight: Out of his depth at this level with a Flat rating of 43; finished over 10l behind Lark In The Mornin and Sorrentino here in June.

The pick of the Mullins' runners is SORRENTINO who has been half a length behind in two recent runs in similar events, including when relegating Lark In The Mornin to third around here in June and is now 4lb better off with that rival. Jetara is an interesting contender if she is more forward following a middling run in a Galway festival Listed event last time. [Denis Harney] Show less
