Spotlight: Lightly raced 9yo made no impact on handicap debut at Limerick before winning back-to-back starts back there in April at about 2m3f on good ground; up 10lb more but has won after a break before.
Spotlight: Limerick maiden hurdle winner returned from a break at Downpatrick with his best career performance when finishing a close second (2m2f, yielding); break came following a poor run in his second start at the Galway festival but had run decently six days earlier when seventh of 20 (2m, good); looks in good form and just 2lb higher.
Spotlight: Returned from a break to win at Kilbeggan (2m4f, good) in June off 89 with Ballykinlar 5l back in second, who is now rated 122; tailed off next time at Killarney but struck for a second time returned to that track on most recent start, staying on well to win by a head; up 7lb more but he is a likeable sort.
Spotlight: Downpatrick maiden hurdle winner last summer (2m6f, good); not at the same level in four runs this year, finished 9l behind at Sligo most recently; needs to come back to form but top lady rider aboard.
Spotlight: Won a Naas handicap hurdle easily in March off 90 (2m, soft); went close back there the following month off 11lb higher (2m3f, good to yielding); pulled up early at Fairyhouse and a well beaten in a Cork novice hurdle when last seen in May (2m1f, good); big player at this level and rider has been doing well this summer.
Spotlight: Form took a nosedive for Stuart Edmonds last winter; low low-key stable debut at this track was followed by a fall when last seen at Killarney; can only be watched.
Spotlight: First reserve; placed once in six point-to-point starts; good effort in a Cork maiden hurdle when fourth of 14 in August (2m2f, good); makes handicap debut.
Spotlight: Rated 16lb lower over hurdles but two-time winner in this sphere; unable to take advantage of lower mark at Punchestown in April when 12.5l behind (2m4f, soft) and 18l behind at Cork when last seen in March (2m4f, good); needs to be at his best on return.
Spotlight: Got his first hurdles win at the 17th attempt at Downpatrick last month off 100 (2m2f, good); couldn't follow up off 10lb higher at Fontwell earlier this month (2m3f, good); form before his win is patchy.
Spotlight: Got third hurdles win at Wexford in March off 104 (2m, good to yielding); some reasonable runs since then on the Flat and over hurdles; didn't jump fluently at Down Royal but still managed a 5l eighth (2m1f, good to firm); has won on soft and heavy, so ground of no concern.
Spotlight: Winning pointer who stayed on best to win a 2m5f mares' maiden at Tramore last month (2m5f, good); tailed off at Downpatrick on handicap debut last time (2m6f, good) and unchanged mark now.
Spotlight: Plenty of solid efforts over hurdles in maidens and handicaps; disappointing favourite back from a break in July at Downpatrick but just 2.5l behind in a Wexford maiden on his next start (2m1f, good to yielding); weakened into third over further at Downpatrick on penulatimate run; possibilities if on a going day; tenth here yesterday.
Spotlight: Four-time winner over hurdles, with his latest win coming at Killarney in July (2m4f, yielding to soft) in a comfortable fashion; three starts since then have been middling; chance on best form.
Spotlight: Got sole win from 22 hurdling efforts at Ballinrobe in May (2m5f, good); good in two runs following that back at the scene of his win; finished last at Sligo last month and tailed off back at Ballinrobe last time (2m6f, soft); others more likely.
Spotlight: Second reserve; beaten a long way in eight starts since springing a surprise when winning a Limerick handicap hurdle off his current mark in October (2m, good); recent form is worrying.
Spotlight: Third reserve; point-to-point winner but 0-18 under rules; beaten 51l around here last year; ran best race for a while when fifth at Wexford last time but still something to find and 4lb wrong.
Spotlight: Four-time winner under rules but last win came four years ago in a Thurles beginner's chase; finished 13l behind here in May (2m4f, good) and tailed off at Galway last time (3m, soft); dropping down the handicap but hard to see it.

Maiden hurdle winner HALF A CHANCE went very close at Downpatrick a week ago and he may be capable of winning off just 2lb higher if this doesn't come too quickly. King In Love takes a drop in class here and showed this sort of mark is not beyond him when going close at Naas following his win at that track but he returns from a 139-day break. Give Him A Chance was a winner last time and should be thereabouts off 7lb higher. [Denis Harney] Show less
